Accepted Items

Pharmacies that participate in the Nebraska MEDS take-back program accept the following items: 
- Prescription medication
- Over-the-counter medication
- Creams, lotions, or ointments
- Liquid medication less than four ounces
- Pet medication
- Pills, tablets, and capsules

Unaccepted Items
The following items are not accepted in the Nebraska MEDS drug disposal program: 
- Needles, syringes, or lancets
- Rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen peroxide
- Home-based care or medical equipment supplies
- Liquid medication greater than four ounces
- Thermometers
